International Campus Group appoints Gawain Smart as CEO and Rainer Nonnengässer as Executive Chairman

Inter­na­tional Campus Group (IC), a company specia­li­sing in tempo­rary living concepts for students and profes­sio­nals, announces that Gawain S.E. Smart will assume the role of Chief Execu­tive Officer (CEO) of Inter­na­tional Campus Group and Rainer Nonnen­gässer, the current CEO, will move to a new role as Execu­tive Chairman of the company. Both appoint­ments are to be effec­tive as of 1 June 2021.

Gawain Smart has been advising IC and its majority share­holder Brook­field for over a year now. The 51-year-old Canadian brings over 20 years of insti­tu­tional real estate experi­ence, most recently at Oxford Proper­ties Group, and has worked across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
