The International Campus Group (IC), one of the leading investors, developers, owners, and operators in the field of student housing and urban living concepts, has successfully completed a portfolio financing of approximately €313 million. The loan secures the mid-term financing of seven properties from the portfolio of the “The FIZZ” brand (student housing) and two properties of the “HAVENS LIVING” brand (apartments for professionals).
The financing partners are BNP Paribas and Société Générale. The financing has an initial term of two years, with three extension options of one year each.
International Campus was legally advised on the transaction by Gibson Dunn, Greenberg Traurig, and Stibbe Advocats. Other parties involved included EY (Tax), CBRE (Valuation & Technical Due Diligence), and Marsh McLennan (Insurance Due Diligence).
“Together with our financing partners, we have achieved an important milestone in a challenging environment. The completed refinancing provides flexibility and planning security for the further development of our portfolio,” said Patrick Hanisch, CFO of the International Campus Group. “This strengthens our position as a long-term owner and operator of high-quality living solutions for students and young professionals.”
“The International Campus Group has established itself as a leading player in the PBSA market in Germany and in Europe with a successful growth strategy. We are honoured to be part of this success and further support their strategy with this financing”, said the person in charge at Société Générale.
“We are pleased to act as a financing partner to International Campus Group and support its ambitions in the student housing market across Germany”, said the BNP Paribas person in charge.
