The Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus Group (IC), one of the leading inves\u00adtors, develo\u00adpers, owners and opera\u00adtors of student housing and urban living concepts in Europe, celebrated the comple\u00adtion of the refur\u00adbish\u00adment of THE FIZZ Bremen at Univer\u00adsi\u00adt\u00e4ts\u00adallee 1 last Friday. Origi\u00adnally opened in 2012, the student residence was the very first property under the THE FIZZ brand and marks the starting point of what has since become Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus\u2019 pan-European portfolio. Over the past months, the building has under\u00adgone an exten\u00adsive refur\u00adbish\u00adment. With the comple\u00adtion of these measures, Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus is inves\u00adting in the long-term future of the property while creating a contem\u00adpo\u00adrary living environ\u00adment tailored to the needs of today\u2019s students. The comple\u00adtion of the project was celebrated together with residents and numerous invited guests.<\/p>\n\n
Located directly on the campus of the Univer\u00adsity of Bremen, the residence opened for the 2012\/13 winter semester and offers 335 fully furnished apart\u00adments, which are currently fully occupied. Around 75 percent of residents are inter\u00adna\u00adtional students, while the remai\u00adning 25 percent come from Germany.<\/p>\n\n
The refur\u00adbish\u00adment focused on a compre\u00adhen\u00adsive upgrade of the quality of living and common areas. All apart\u00adments were moder\u00adnised and techni\u00adcally upgraded. This included new beds and mattresses, new desks and desk chairs, modern lighting, new curtains and additional TV sideboards. The kitchens were also refur\u00adbished, inclu\u00adding new worktops, fronts, sinks, fittings, cutlery systems and induc\u00adtion hobs.<\/p>\n\n
A key element of the refur\u00adbish\u00adment was the repla\u00adce\u00adment of 76 bay windows, which were comple\u00adtely redesi\u00adgned and recon\u00ads\u00adtructed. In addition, the apart\u00adments were fitted with modular picture rails featuring integrated pinboards, giving residents greater flexi\u00adbi\u00adlity to perso\u00adna\u00adlise their living spaces.<\/p>\n\n
At the same time, all communal areas were comple\u00adtely redesi\u00adgned. The refur\u00adbish\u00adment intro\u00adduced a modern communal kitchen, a new study room with shared workspaces, a dedicated gaming area, a newly designed laundry lounge, a contem\u00adpo\u00adrary recep\u00adtion area, and new lounge spaces that encou\u00adrage social inter\u00adac\u00adtion and commu\u00adnity.<\/p>\n\n
The outdoor areas were also compre\u00adhen\u00adsi\u00advely upgraded. The landscaped garden now features, among other ameni\u00adties, a table tennis table, a new BBQ area, additional terrace furni\u00adture and a calis\u00adthe\u00adnics rig for outdoor exercise. A further highlight is the perma\u00adnent Commu\u00adnity Bus \u2013 a converted vintage bus that serves as a unique social hub and meeting place for residents.<\/p>\n\n
