Repre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adves from IC and Niers\u00adman cele\u00adbra\u00adted the top\u00adping off tog\u00ade\u00adther with the con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion crew on site. Upon expec\u00adted com\u00adple\u00adti\u00adon at the end of 2023, the buil\u00adding will offer 394 inde\u00adpen\u00addent stu\u00addi\u00ados for stu\u00addents. Con\u00ads\u00adtruc\u00adtion of the two-part buil\u00adding began in ear\u00adly 2022. It will be IC\u2019s second house in the Net\u00adher\u00adlands, after the award-win\u00adning THE FIZZ Utrecht. IC is tar\u00adge\u00adting LEED Gold cer\u00adti\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon for the buil\u00adding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JK Veld\u00adink, Seni\u00ador Deve\u00adlo\u00adper at Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal Cam\u00adpus in the Net\u00adher\u00adlands, said: \u201cWe are curr\u00adent\u00adly right on sche\u00addu\u00adle. The fit-out of the buil\u00adding will com\u00admence at the end of Q1 2023. With this sche\u00addu\u00adle, we aim for moving in the first stu\u00addents at the end of this year or the begin\u00adning of next year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kris\u00adti\u00adan Aipas\u00adsa, Direc\u00adtor Deve\u00adlo\u00adp\u00adment at Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal Cam\u00adpus in the Net\u00adher\u00adlands, added: \u201cWith THE FIZZ Lei\u00adden we will set new stan\u00addards. The archi\u00adtec\u00adtu\u00adral design by Kokon Archi\u00adtec\u00adtuur and inte\u00adri\u00ador design by TANK offers spa\u00adcious com\u00admu\u00adnal are\u00adas, a varie\u00adty of dif\u00adfe\u00adrent stu\u00addio types and, abo\u00adve all, a focus on sus\u00adtaina\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adty: this includes a ther\u00admal ener\u00adgy sys\u00adtem, solar panels, a rain\u00adwa\u00adter coll\u00adec\u00adtion sys\u00adtem and a green roof and a green faca\u00adde. In addi\u00adti\u00adon, IC focu\u00adsed on incor\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adting natu\u00adre inclu\u00adsi\u00advi\u00adty into the land\u00adsca\u00adping. Fur\u00adther\u00admo\u00adre, IC sup\u00adports the ten\u00adants in opti\u00admi\u00adsing their ener\u00adgy, elec\u00adtri\u00adci\u00adty and water con\u00adsump\u00adti\u00adon by pro\u00advi\u00adding a sub\u00adme\u00adter for each apart\u00adment. In Lei\u00adden, the\u00adre were just under 8,600 places in stu\u00addent accom\u00admo\u00adda\u00adti\u00adon for around 46,300 enrol\u00adled stu\u00addents  in the aca\u00adde\u00admic year 2021\u20132022. We want to coun\u00adter\u00adact this con\u00adsidera\u00adble under\u00adsup\u00adp\u00adly and rea\u00adli\u00adse addi\u00adtio\u00adnal pro\u00adjects in the Net\u00adher\u00adlands in the future.
