A total of 632 high quality apart\u00adments for students and young profes\u00adsio\u00adnals with showers and pantry kitchens, plus racks for 350 bicycles and 81 car parking spaces, are being built on Dresdner Strasse. The ground floor of the building will consist of commer\u00adcial space of 1,150 square metres. The project was developed and financed by Stonehill Group in coope\u00adra\u00adtion with Pegasus Capital Partners GmbH, and sold to an invest\u00adment company of Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus AG as part of a forward deal in December 2016. The total contractor is the Austrian HABAU Hoch- u. Tiefbau\u00adge\u00adsell\u00adschaft m.b.H. The building that is to become \u201cTHE FIZZ Wien\u201d will have a gross floor area above ground level of more than 26,000 square metres over seven floors.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Gulya, CEO of Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus Austria, said: \u201cTHE FIZZ Wien is our first project in Vienna. We are there\u00adfore delighted at the great turn-out for the topping-out ceremony. Construc\u00adtion work is on schedule and we intend to open in time for the 2017\/2018 winter semester. Letting will begin in July.\u201d Gulya continued: \u201cIn the heart of Vienna\u2019s now very popular Brigit\u00adtenau residen\u00adtial district, we are creating highly sought-after, small-scale housing for students and young profes\u00adsio\u00adnals. The Brigit\u00adtenau is the second-fastest growing district in Vienna, and its location between the Danube and the Donau\u00adkanal makes it the district with the second-highest share of waters. Other benefits include the great connec\u00adtion to the local public trans\u00adport system and its proxi\u00admity to the adjacent 2nd district.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Henrik Medla, a member of the manage\u00adment of Pegasus Capital Partners, commented:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks to its good infra\u00adstruc\u00adture, high social standards and cultural variety, Vienna is one of the cities with the world\u2019s highest quality of life. We are happy to have found a compe\u00adtent investor and operator with proven brand and service exper\u00adtise in Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus, and would also like thank our project partner Drees &amp; Sommer for the good coope\u00adra\u00adtion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Reicher, Divisional Manager for HABAU, added: \u201cAs a result of the coope\u00adra\u00adtion in project manage\u00adment between the builder, project manage\u00adment, the planning company and all those working here on the site, optimal condi\u00adtions have been created to finish the property on time by the end of September \u2013 despite the tight construc\u00adtion schedule and unusually harsh winter \u2013 and to hand it over to the owner with full confi\u00addence in its high quality. Work to bring furnis\u00adhings into the apart\u00adments will begin in the next few weeks. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the compa\u00adnies involved in the work on the project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With around 200,000 students, Vienna is the largest univer\u00adsity city in the German-speaking world and even surpasses Berlin in this regard.
