The first building section, the listed and comple\u00adtely restored building on the former Graphia Nothnagel site, will be ready for students to move in. The second construc\u00adtion phase with 245 student apart\u00adments will open at the start of the 2016 summer semester. Students interested in renting these apart\u00adments can now contact: <a href=\"mailto:darmstadt@the-fizz.com\">darmstadt@the-fizz.com.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to be able to open the first section of our new student residence in Darmstadt in time for the begin\u00adning of the winter semester\u201c, commented Horst Lieder, CEO of Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus AG. \u201cWith \u201cTHE FIZZ Darmstadt\u201d on Sch\u00f6f\u00adfer\u00adstra\u00dfe, we have created urgently required, contem\u00adpo\u00adrary and highly attrac\u00adtive living space for students. All student apart\u00adments are fully furnished and have a modern bath room and kitchenette. Our residents can move in straight away from mid September and get down to their studies,\u201d added Lieder.<\/p>\n<p>The student residence is located on a property encom\u00adpas\u00adsing some 7,000 square metres on Sch\u00f6f\u00adfer\u00adstra\u00dfe near the Albert Schweitzer Park, directly opposite the Hochschule Darmstadt. The city centre and TU Darmstadt are within just a few minutes\u2019 walking distance. \u201cTHE FIZZ Darmstadt\u201d offers access to public areas for barbe\u00adcuing and leisure activi\u00adties, 342 cycle stands and 80 parking spaces, a generous cooking lounge, two seminar and study rooms, a laundry and drying room, a central entrance with a full house manager service and a lounge with a TV projector. All 342 single and double apart\u00adments are fully furnished with a bed, desk and cupboards, a modern shower room and a kitchenette over an average living space of around 21 square metres. The all-in-rents start at EUR 450 \u2013 inclu\u00adding electri\u00adcity, high-speed internet access, ancil\u00adlary costs and the use of common facili\u00adties.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2014\/15 winter semester, some 45,000 students studied at the Techni\u00adsche Univer\u00adsit\u00e4t Darmstadt, the Hochschule Darmstadt and the Evange\u00adli\u00adsche Hochschule Darmstadt. The Darmstadt student services associa\u00adtion offers around 2,800 places in halls of residences in 15 diffe\u00adrent locations. The city has more than 150,000 inhabi\u00adtants, and the figure is rising.
