International Campus Develops a New Student Apartment Project in Ludwigshafen in Germany<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Student residence is part of the conver\u00adsion of the former \u2018Halberg-Areal\u2019 site into a modern mixed-use district close the river Rhine<\/li>\n
Univer\u00adsity of Mannheim, the Univer\u00adsity of Applied Sciences Ludwigs\u00adhafen, and several vocational schools located inside the catch\u00adment <\/li>\n
Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus has acquired three student housing develo\u00adp\u00adments this year with a total of 2,200 apart\u00adments, among others via forward deals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus Group (IC), a leading investor, developer and operator of student and urban living concepts in Europe, just acquired a plot earmarked for a planned student apart\u00adment block in the city of Ludwigs\u00adhafen in Rhine\u00adland-Palati\u00adnate from Aberdeen Standard Invest\u00adments Deutsch\u00adland AG and GeRo Real Estate AG. Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus will develop the scheme with around 14,000 square metres (GFA) with its own in-house develo\u00adp\u00adment team. The student apart\u00adment block is part of a larger district develo\u00adp\u00adment and will have more than 330 flats, around 135 car and around 400 bicycle parking spaces, as well as generous communal areas, such as roof terraces and communal kitchens. Construc\u00adtion work on the corner of Halberg\u00adstrasse and Rhein\u00adallee will commence late in 2022 with an opening scheduled for late 2024. A day care facility will be included on the ground floor of the building.<\/p>\n

\u201dThis great location close to the river Rhine is a great addition to our THE FIZZ portfolio and we don\u2019t currently have a scheme in Rhine\u00adland-Palati\u00adnate. The macro and micro location absolutely convinced us as all key insti\u00adtu\u00adtions in both Ludwigs\u00adhafen and Mannheim can be accessed quickly from the scheme\u201d, noted Michael Stapf, CIO of the Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus Group. \u201cWe would like to thank the City of Ludwigs\u00adhafen for the coope\u00adra\u00adtive colla\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adtion and are pleased to be part of a larger neigh\u00adbour\u00adhood develo\u00adp\u00adment with a good urban planning concept. Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus will manage the property and develop it in-house. With additional student flats, we will relieve the strained housing market in the metro\u00adpo\u00adlitan region. On the top of that, we have had openings in Freiburg, Hamburg and Utrecht over the past several months,\u201d says Rainer Nonnen\u00adg\u00e4sser, Execu\u00adtive Chairman of the Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus Group. \u201cWith Ludwigs\u00adhafen included, we acquired about 2,200 apart\u00adments in 2021, bringing the total number of units either opera\u00adtional or under develo\u00adp\u00adment in Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and the Nether\u00adlands up to around 6,900 units. In the year ahead, we will keep stepping up the pace of growth for our two brands, THE FIZZ and HVNS, with further acqui\u00adsi\u00adtions in attrac\u00adtive metro\u00adpo\u00adlises and univer\u00adsity cities.\u201d<\/p>\n

THE FIZZ Ludwigs\u00adhafen, located in the southern section of the inner city, will be optimally connected to the regional rail and rapid transit system via the railway station Ludwigs\u00adhafen-Mitte. The city centre is only a short walk away. The Rhine prome\u00adnade and the city park are also within walking distance. The Univer\u00adsity of Mannheim can be reached quickly by tram, on foot or by bicycle via the nearby Konrad Adenauer Bridge.<\/p>\n
\u200d<\/p>\n
Mannheim is the centre of the econo\u00admic\u00adally strong Rhine-Neckar metro\u00adpo\u00adlitan region and, with around 310,000 inhabi\u00adtants, the second largest city in the federal state of Baden-W\u00fcrttem\u00adberg. Ludwigs\u00adhafen has around 170,000 inhabi\u00adtants and is the second largest city in the federal state of Rhine\u00adland-Palati\u00adnate. Ludwigs\u00adhafen also has a univer\u00adsity with just under 5,000 students, whose Maxstrasse location is also nearby.<\/p>\n
