Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus (\u201cIC\u201d), a leading investor, developer and operator of concepts for student living and urban living in Europe, has acquired the student apart\u00adment building THE FIZZ in Bremen. The building has been operated by IC since 2012 and served as pilot project for the THE FIZZ brand. Exten\u00adding over 13,000 square metres GFA, the building divides into 335 student apart\u00adments, various commu\u00adnity areas as well as 32 parking spots in the under\u00adground car park. In conjunc\u00adtion with the acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion, a new design and service concept will be imple\u00admented. To this end, the commu\u00adnity spaces of the building will be comple\u00adtely renovated and the apart\u00adment equip\u00adment upgraded. The seller is W\u00fcrttem\u00adber\u00adgi\u00adsche Lebens\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adche\u00adrung AG. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the selling price.<\/p>\n

\u201cThings are coming full circle for us \u2013 the apart\u00adment building in Bremen was the first Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus asset that began opera\u00adting under the brand THE FIZZ in 2012. Michael Stapf, the CIO of Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus, added: \u201cIn the course of the acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion, we are impro\u00adving the student living and social experi\u00adence by imple\u00admen\u00adting our new concept for the commu\u00adnity spaces. Student housing has evolved in recent years and we are creating a long-term perspec\u00adtive for Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Campus with the new concept. In addition, we are bringing forward some planned mainten\u00adance work, among others in the flats, to position the building for the future. Buying the building in Bremen was a natural step for us to take. After all, it checks all the boxes for our houses: It is located in direct proxi\u00admity to the Univer\u00adsity and conve\u00adni\u00adently connected to the downtown via public trans\u00adport. Our residents are within easy reach of their class\u00adrooms and of the city\u2019s leisure and cultural ameni\u00adties at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u200d<\/p>\n \u200d<\/p>\n The Univer\u00adsity of Bremen has a total enrol\u00adment of around 19,000 students (as of the winter semester 2021\/2022) while also employing around 3,600 campus staff (as of 2020). With its popula\u00adtion of around 560,000 residents, Bremen is one of the biggest cities in northern Germany, second only to Hamburg. It has a vibrant cultural scene as well as a large number of bars, pubs and restau\u00adrants.
