  • German International Campus AG and Dutch Stichting DUWO intensify collaboration
  • Launch of an international non-profit alliance made up of operators of student apartment buildings, service providers and universities
  • The focus is on housing and added-value offerings for students in Europe

International Campus AG and DUWO, the leading provider of student apartments in the Netherlands, have launched the “Network Cum Laude” (NCL) platform for cooperation: an international non-profit alliance made up of operators of student apartment buildings, universities and service providers. The aims of the network include close international cooperation for the creation of a broad range of student housing solutions, the profound exchange of knowledge at all strategic and operational levels and the consolidation of student-relevant services. It will also work with universities at the international level to develop additional seminar training and qualification offerings, for example during academic holidays. All the partners in the cooperation will also profit from improved access to investors and the optimisation of resources.

Roman Diehl, Member of the Executive Board of International Campus AG and responsible for Marketing & Sales, says: “Like the “Star Alliance” in the airline industry, “Network Cum Laude” will create a new drive and offer advantages in the fields of student housing and services. We are pleased to launch the international quality platform with DUWO as our founding partner. We are currently engaged in promising discussions with other international partners, too. On the one hand, Network Cum Laude offers all students a range of services to make their academic life more comfortable. For example, by enabling students to change location without any problems by offering suitable accommodation abroad or providing contacts to attractive employers for internships and career entry. On the other hand, NCL provides a platform that allows its cooperation partners to optimise utilisation and business processes.”

Jan Benschop, CEO of DUWO: “The network will be of great interest to companies looking for early contact with potential graduate recruits, we can link students to future employers, or take care of placement of brand offerings in an attractive target group.” Benschop continues: “Above that, our aim in participating in Network Cum Laude is to make mobility during a course of study easier and to lay the foundations for further international cooperation that will benefit Dutch students abroad and international students in the Netherlands. By exchanging international experiences we can really make a difference in international standards of student housing.”
